How to become an MCA-registered creditor

Lenders may register using MCA's Creditor Registration Form. There are no costs associated with registration.  

Accepting a cannabis license as collateral

A licensee, including a conditionally licensed entity, may use the value of a cannabis license as collateral to obtain a loan from an MCA-registered creditor. A list of registered creditors can be found he​re​​.

Creditor responsibilities in receivership

If a licensee becomes the subject of a court order requiring the appointment of a receiver, an MCA registered creditor must select an MCA registered and approved receiver to oversee the disposition of the license. Prospective receivers can register using MCA's Receiver Registration Form.
